New HC owners from Massachusetts

Hello from Massachusetts!

Previous owners of a Sprinter TT, and we just upgraded to our first fifth wheeler, a 2019 High Country 385BR. We're having a few things installed and adjusted before we pick it up in a couple of weeks and we can't wait! We're at a seasonal spot in SE Mass so we won't be traveling with it much, but do have a couple of New England trips planned.

Glad to be a member, this forum seems like a great resource!

Welcome from an ex mass resident and former DEC employee when they were still in business. Now i'm old and retired, but we fulltime so we get 6 months on the road each year. Can't imagine sitting still most of the time...

My husband & I are new RVers. We recently purchased a new Montana 2019 20th anniversary 3791rd. We currently live in Florida but will use this RV as our second home while we visit our children so basically the RV will stay parked in Kentucky. If anyone can help with step by step instructions on how to de-winterize our new RV, I would definitely appreciate especially if what all I need to do to our residential refrigerator with ice maker during de-winterizing.

Welcome to the forum. I know the wait may be killing you, as it did to my wife and I, but oh so sweet when you get it home.

Just run the water through the system. You'll need to open the drain lines to the ice maker first and when it stops draining, which won't take long, turn on the water and when it comes out of the drain clear close it. You'll have to make a few pink slush cubes but wont take long to clear it out.

Welcome to the forum from right next door! You've found the best resource for information on your new HC. Good luck with the learning curve and be sure to ask when a question comes up. Someone here has seen it before, you can be sure. We made the move in 2013 from a Cougar TT. I think you'll enjoy the step up.
