Full timing maintenance

3791RD.
RV parks very rarely let you wash much less do maintenance.
Can any full timers offer any suggestions on when/how you clean and perform maintenance.
THANK YOU

Six years fulltiming, never challenged on maintenance, to include jacking up the fiver and removing wheels. Re washing, never challenged on that, but NEVER use a hose, unless washing allowed. Wash with a bucket, ladder, and rags. Many campgrounds have wash racks within the park available for use. Standard routine for us to wash the front cap of bugs, etc upon arrival. Never been an issue.

I think excessive water use and the mess that can create is the main reason most parks don't like folks to wash their rigs with a hose and that is understandable. If you make a big mess that affects other campers it isn't good for business. I have never seen anyone have an issue with washing with a bucket like Mike suggested.

I have done maintenance on my Montana in several campgrounds in several states without anyone saying anything, including major water heater work and changing out 4 tires one at a time. No one ever said anything. I do not try to wash anything.

I have never had anyone challenge my doing maintenance on our Montanas at any campground including upgrading to disc brakes.

In our experience most places expect you to have a shut off nozzle on the end of a hose, as far as maintenance goes as long as you are not making a lot off noise you should be ok.

You are lucky then. Some campgrounds allow people to wash and wax their rigs, but as far changing tires, or big maintance or big epairs, they must have a repair service (moble) come in to do the repairs.

In 8 years of full timing we've never not been able to do what needed to be done. Once and a while we have had to wait till the next stop to wash, but not really an issue.

The Campground that i have a seasonal spot at, allows washing the camper Monday thru Thursday because the seasonal spots are away from the weekend warriors and anybody traveling and the water demand is less during those days.

A bucket of water and a micro fiber rag works for us. I use that on the truck and car too.
