Upgraded LCD Mount
This link has a few photos of my LCD mount on my 3295RK. I used 100# drawer slides to make a shelf for DVDs. It has space below LCD for 3 remotes. I still have to fab a way to pin it closed while on the road and finish routing the wires. As you can see it sticks out about a 1 1/2" because I didn't want to cut any of the cabinet but wanted air flow. If I feel down the road that I want to change any thing it will not take much work.

Larry really good work! This replaced the Tub TV that was there correct. Was that the same size tv or did you have to go smaller?

clbrandt, I bought his rig in July. When I bought it there was no TV in space. I wanted a LCD so one day at Costco in Astoria Or. I found this 26" Visio for a good price. If I would of shopped around a little more I could of found one that I could of set flush with cabinet. But this will work for now, but I might install another shelf on the back wall of cabinet for extra storage. I do not like to cut on factory cabinet if I don't have to,as they are made of some very cheap mat'l.

That's fantastic! I like the slide out drawer idea. That makes it clean, functional and with storage.
Way to put that shop to great use.

I have an idea for storage under the TV,I was thinking of putting in 2 shelfs on slides where to fireplace goes. But I am torn about doing this because I might want the fireplace more then storage. We really don't need the storage as we are still working and only use the rig on short trips. So anyone have a vote on witch way to go,fireplace or storage?
Thanks for all the feedback.

Ah yes, we have the fireplace and are glad we do. It helps keep the propane usage down when shore powered.
I like your storage area behind the LCD for DW's DVD library. Now we can get the desk storage back for other things.

Larry I was asking because I am working on creating something similar but need the shelf to rotate 15 degrees. I was hoping to imploy a larger LCD tv but it looks like the largest I can manover is a 28". What else have you modified or updated on your fifth? Since we purchased this fifth we have had problems getting the procedure for closeing the slides down. So far I have knocked the bunkhouse door off closing the slide, and took one of the cabinet doors off opening the main slide. I left a twelve pack of soda in it and the door opened. So I have had to make some modes to keep the door and cabinates secure. Thank god I have a little knowladge of woodworking.

Carl I have built new drawers with 100# roller bearing slides. I still need to build around 3 more to replace the ones for the garbage and pantry above it. I also am going to install rare earth magnets on the drawers behind the slides as I have hit two when moving to open. I have a couple items I want to do, one is install a switch for the water pump by the steps to the bathroom so I can turn on the pump from there when traveling. I do not like to travel with the pump on but I can't reach the switch with the slides closed. I also want to replace the digital thermostat for the furnace and ac. This link has photos of most projects on the trailer. http://picasaweb.google.com/Drifty1/BigRed#

Rare earth magnets will cure the problem with the doors opening. I love your work especially the coffee table. I have a couple of projects I have done but nothing for this camper yet. Check them out http://home.comcast.net/~brandtcpc/

Looks like some good projects. Swing by on your next trip out west and give me a few pointers. When I get a chance I will add a page to web album with some of my projects. Be sure you post any upgrades you make to your rig some everyone can see them.

Here is my version of a Slide out Drawer for a LCD install. I was able to move the Factory DVD/entertainment ctr up and out of the bottom cabinet. Photos attached http://s800.photobucket.com/albums/yy281/emorris548/

Lee what are the 3 black squares above the LCD? I thought about doing something like that buy wanted to frame in oak. But you started my think hat again. I like the DVD player below. Might have to change a little my design a bit. But will run with this for the next year to test.

Those are part of the "surround sound" system.

Tom,
Those black squares are speakers, which are apart of factory installed surround sound entertainment system.
