Refrigerator question

We have a 2015 Montana with a 4 door refrigerator, we store the unit away from our home. I would like to get a jump on cooling the refrigerator down before we bring it home to load it for an outing. My question is does anyone know if I can safely operate the refrigerator using LP with the slides in? (our storage space does not have enough room to open the slides). BTW the storage space is level.
Any thought will be appreciated and thanks

I can't think of any reason why not. You have to have 11.5 volts minimum for refrigerator to work on LP

Should be fine. Many folks run the fridge going down the road and those folks tend to have their slides in.

6 years and counting of running my fridge on propane when traveling down the road with slides in ,BUT when I used to put it into storage before I was a fulltimer the Batteries will go dead in about a week(if that) without a power supply,If you do have it hooked up to power in storage I say Go For it or you just start the fridge up a day or so before hitting the road Without power Go for it

We run our frig while going down the road on LP and there have not been any problems. We do shut it down when we pull in to refuel but as soon as we pull back out we turn it back on. Hopefully you have two batteries in your unit. A single battery will not last that long if you turn your unit on. If you put a couple things in the frig(Like bottles of water) and in the freezer it will let the frig work a little better. It normally does not cool as fast if the frig/freezer are totally empty.

Done it at home with slides in and while on the road...no problems. I usually turn in on electricity two day prior to departure at the house and then right before we leave turn it on LP so it will keep the food cold while we are on the road.

I have done that at home for a few days with the slides in with no problem.

The majority of the burner mechanism is on the outside of the unit behind the outside vents so slides in or out don't matter. Just make sure there is decent airflow near the outside vents and you should be fine. If I can't get my unit home for a long enough period before I load it, I would go to my storage area and turn on the fridge as well.

I have found that the units cool quickly enough that if you start them and load them with previously cooled items all is fine. Just the drive home and then putting cooled items works. Even the ice in my tray's lasts--on very hot days they get wet, but mostly stay frozen.
