3791RD - Wow!

I know someone already posted about this new model. I had read about it and it looked interesting.

While at the dealer today we spend some time in one. If that model was out when we traded last year it would have been a difficult decision. At 41 1/2 feet it is big and it is a little heavy. You are definitely in dually territory with it especially if you start adding washer/dryer, sat on roof, and some other options, not to mention all your personal gear to fill up all the extra sections of basement storage.

There are probably some pretty long Class A's out there that don't have as much basement storage as this Montana model. If you get a chance look at one. It is an amazing floor plan.

Yea, but for a Gross just shy of 17K and the specs still show "E" tires, hope that is an oversite.

This from a company that continually put Marabombs on their rigs... not likely an oversight.

Geez, based on some of the other posts I've seen here tonight, Keystone isn't doing much right. It's disturbing to see that they're not listening to the folks who buy their products. The Marathons (or whatever cheap replacement they're using now) are a prime example of a company not paying attention to the consumer. I guess not enough of us have made noise about them. I know on this site, it's a big issue. But what percentage of Montana owners are members of this site? I wonder. Not to pirate the thread, though. It does look like a nice floorplan. I know I could use the extra outside storage...and I'm not a fulltimer.

Keystone doesn't get all the blame here. Buyers can order them with the G14's installed. An educated shopper is a smart shopper, and will do so.

Bottom line these 5vers are getting way to long and Heavy will need A Kenworth to pull them.

We spent some time in and around it. In the back of my mind I am thinking how much extra weight I am hauling, and I am also thinking maybe a F450 or 4500 dually would be the ticket for this unit. Obviously G614's would be in order, but I didn't pull my 3725RL off their lot last year until they installed the new G614's.

I got it out of my head now....what made it extra bad was being camped next to a guy the day before up in Tallahassee that had a nice dually Ram with one of those aftermarket beds on it with all the storage lockers. I think he said it was a 4 or 5 year old truck and he found it used with low miles. I think it said 4500 on the side but I'm not sure because as we were talking I was just zoning out staring at all those extra storage compartments thinking of what I could load them up with!

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I'm looking forward to learning from the vast experience from all of you. My wife and I just returned from Solvang, CA in the first trip in our new Montana 3791RD. This is also our first 5th wheel coming from a 27 foot Lance travel trailer. I guess it's go big or go home, lol! We also purchased the new Ram 3500 dually diesel with the Aisin transmission (850 ft lbs of torque) to pull the beast. It actually towed easier than our Toyota Tundra /Lance setup. The amount of room, the comfort, the storage is all well appreciated, I can't see ever going back to a smaller rig.

Looking at trading a 2013 Landmark Full Body paint that has had way too many problems for an ordered Montana 3611RL or the 3791RD and the dealer has quoted G614's from the factory. Both of these are great floor plans. It should be against the law to put these China Bombs on RV's.
I have already owned 3 Montana's 2003, 2006 and a 2010.

My 3790 just arrived with G rated tires . The weight was an issue when I ordered it the dealer told me it would be around 39' and under 2500 lb hitch weight . I could not find any specs on it so I figured my 2012 ram 3500 srw would get it done . A month later keystone posted the specs for the 3791 I was surprised to see 41.5 ' and almost 17k gvwr . Well merry Christmas new 2015 ram longhorn DRW work horse with a 14 k lb gvwr and 29k towing . When you are towing your most prize possessions around you simply can't compromise . And yes the layout on my new 3790 is great . And it was my dealer that looked after the g rated tires .

I noticed there is no desk for a computer. my wife dose book work and the office desk that is under the TV in our unit works real nice. she can be doing work at the desk and I can still watch the TV over her head. sometimes the little things end up being a big deal or should I say deal breaker. or did I miss it somewhere in the pics. but still an impressive unit.

Eagleback: you didn't miss it, there isn't one. Fortunately, for us we're strictly tablet and laptop users (90% tablet) so a dedicated computer station would be wasted space. But we're not full timers either which could certainly influence others and, like you said, a possible deal breaker. There might be the perfect rig out there for some people but I think the vast majority of us compromise a little (especially husband & wife) on just about any rig we get.
