can i drive with the bathroom and dining fan on i live in south Florida and it get really hot inside the trailer when we reach our destination it takes a while to cool off i have maxair II cover on the fans

I don't think all the fans running will do much good if it's hot and humid outside. If it's cool outside, and you have some way of letting the cool air in while the fans are exhausting the hot air out, it should work, but we have run in 100 degrees and over, and yes, it gets hot inside, but the minute the electric is hooked up, the A/C's are turned on, and it cools down pretty quick. I have read that some with a generator in their truck have connected the power through a second AC cable installed at the front of their rig, and when a distance out from their destination, start the generator and an A/C to cool the interior down.

I would be more worried about sucking in any type of outside dirt or dust traveling with those exhaust fans running.

Agreed, would not recommend. Wear and tear on the fans for starters, drawing in exhaust fumes/road dust/dirt, etc., as well. And as stated, whatever the ambient outside air temperature is, the inside will be the same!

If you have access to power, turn on the A/C(s) with the thermostat set for 68-70 the day before you leave. That way it will cold soak everything inside including all metal, glass, wood, etc. Then travel with all blinds closed. It will then cool much faster when you arrive.

Since we full time our cabinets and stuff are cool when we leave. When we arrive the AC comes on immediately and with two full size units it's cool fast. We travel with the shades down and reflective bubble wrap and foam board in many of the windows so, while it's hot when we get there it isn't that hot.

If you've vent covers (Maxx-Aire or whatever) that could work, but the vents by themselves are very flimsy. If you're talking about the Fantastic Fan, you've got to have a cover made especially for it. You've also got to have some way for air to get inside - a third vent open (with cover).

Hey Walt we ordered rain covers at CW for our Fantastic Fans that are made by Fantastic Fans. Supposedly they will allow the housing to fully open and can handle the air volume. Of course we are still waiting for them and they were ordered on Labor Day. CW had them on sale but of course they were all sold out.
