surge protector location
Recently someone posted some pics showing the location where they mounted their TRC, or other brand, hardwired surge protector. I didn’t want to pull off all the other panels in the basement to find a suitable location, and would save me some time if someone showed where they located theirs. This is going on a 2008 3400rl. I tried using the “search” function, but it was useless. Any help, as always, would be helpful.

On my 2010 3150RL, I opened the door side basement storage door and removed the closest panel immediately to the left. It only had 4-6 screws holding it in.
There was a good spot there as well as access to the back of the fuse/circuit breaker panel. All I had to purchase was enough wire (can't remember if it was 6 or 8 gauge) to go from the HW50C Progressive EMS to the back of the fuse/circuit breaker panel. I used NOALOX compound on all connections and used the opportunity to ensure all connections were tight in the fuse/circuit breaker panel.

This is the post I was looking for. I kind of figured that was the area since it is directly below the breaker panel. Thanks for the help.

On my 2008 3400RL I removed the electrical panel in the toilet room and installed my hard-wired progressive EMS behind it. This also means it was sitting on the ceiling of the washer/drier closet. Worked fine for me. There was actually enough wire from the factory to cut about 2 feet from it to make a jumper from the EMS to back of panel. Did not have to buy any wire.

I also had enough wire for the job.Removing the middle panel in the basement of our 3455SA put me right behind the converter. Almost like I knew what I was doing. Scary.

I put my Progressive hard wired unit near the converter in the basement and the remote read out upstairs over the counter above the fuse panel. Just emove the basement panels for access to the shore cord. The wired units are easy to install and well worth the cost. Makes a nice neat installation.
