It's finally spring, I think

Ok, All you full-timers and snow-birders, move along. This doesn't concern you. The rest of you, those of you who just went through a long winter season, that is, may be able to relate. Today is (was) the first real day of spring in my area of the country. The peepers are out (damn, I love that sound), and the weather was (almost) 60! I washed the truck for the first time in months, cleaning all the winter I could off of it. It will take several washings to get it all. But, (drum roll), I also put the hitch back in, which is significant. It means no turning back. There is no stopping me now. The cover on the Montana will come off tomorrow (weather permitting, looks good). After that, battery, and opening the slides so I can get a look at the after-affects of a long, cold winter. The mods this year are; wet bolts (which I had never heard of before joining the MOC), and a Banks Speedbrake braking system for the truck (probably the best solution for my patience and mechanical know-how). That's it! Just psyched for the upcoming season and happy to finally be able to get out and start moving toward camping once again. That's it! Thanks for listening!

Spring is here in the mountains in Virginia to. We have just began to watch spring creep up the mountains. In about a month to six weeks it will be green all the way to the top.

sambam you are going to love your Banks Speedbrake. It takes the scare out of scary when going down a 7% grade. It really is plug and play as they advertise. The hardest part I found was taking off the original connector on the transmission. Everything after that is smooth sailing.
Enjoy your upcoming camping season.

Believe me we are happy too! I will be meeting up with CW3Jason at the end of the month. Several families in the group that we commonly do rallies with have new unit. There will be a lot of tours!
