Anyone meet the Whitcrafts in AZ this winter?

I thought some Montana owners might have met Elmer and Jan Whitcraft of Lakeside, Montana, at an Arizona campground during the last few months, so that's why I'm posting news about them on the MOC site. The Whitcrafts were returning from winter camping in Arizona on Saturday,March 29th, when their fifth-wheeler (2006 Cardinal) caught fire on Interstate 15 just south of Dillon, Montana. As the trailer burned, they managed to unhook their truck and pull away before they lost that, too. Within seconds, the trailer was a total fireball, along with the ground and hillside around it. They lost everything except what they had in the truck. Montana owners are such friendly people that it's possible some of "our brand" may have met the Whitcrafts in an Arizona campground during the winter. The Dillon newspaper photo of the burning rig is chilling, as well as heartbreaking. Thankfully, the Whitcrafts were not harmed.

Thank the Lord for their safety.

While visiting PPL the other day, there were 4 or 5 MH/Trailers that caught fire because of electrical or lightening. We are all staying in fire traps because when these things start to burn they are gone in a very short time and the only thing left is the frame.

I'm so happy to hear they were able to save the TV. Let's hope insurance will pick up the cost.

As a thought, we posted about sending money for this web site.

What if: Someone were to set up a fund to help fellow MOC'ers out when situations like this arise and insurance does not pay for it all. My money will be in it and it does not have to be a lot if everyone contributes once in a while. Just a brain fart. Sorry.
