Water Pressure
I'm thinking of purchasing an adjustable water pressure assembly from CW but first, I wish to know what the nominal/optimum water pressure should be in our 2007 Montana 3400RL and what is the maximum recommended? Thanks.

We also purchased from CW. Most are pre-set to 45 psi, and that is what we have been using for the last 5 years.

Go to Lowes, Home Depot, or Menards and buy a stick house adj water pressure valve. The garden hose ends are there as well. Might save some money and they will flow more compared to CW's. 45# - 55# is the usual range that gets talked up.

A number of Shurflo pumps shown on CW site have 55psi ratings, so wouldn't think anything higher than that is needed. That 45psi regulator is probably a safe pressure, but as was mentioned, some of these pre-set regulators don't allow sufficient flow. We changed to a high flow model that seems to work OK for us and was not very expensive.

Our regulators are 45psi, but will eventually lookg for an adjustable to raise it to 55psi. I think just that extra 10 psi would be a great boost. I also have a gauge after the regulator just so I can read the current psi.

After 8 years of fulltiming and using the nonadjustable kind, we just last week switched to the adjustable one from Camping World and couldn't be happier. I adjusted ours to just under 50 lbs. and the pressure is great. My dishwasher, clothes washer, and shower head like it a lot. Makes the fancy shower head we got from CW several years ago really make pressure now. Also don't seem to waste as much water getting hot water to the shower.

We must be the odd ones, we have the adjustable type and typically set it at 60 psi.

When I worked for a pump company years ago, we usually set the Hi-Lo settings on the pressure switches to 60psi Hi and 40psi Lo, so those pressures would also be OK in our rigs, especially with the use of Pex and the fittings that are used in them. Might want the lower pressures with older rigs that used the old plastic lines that break if you look at them sideways.

Your not alone Bingo. Ours are set between 55 and 60# the only problem is few places we stay have pressure that good.

I have a 50 pound fixed regulator that I use if I think the park pressure is too great. Not very often

I have an adjustable one with a gauge that I bought from CW that I have hooked up in my service center. I set it at 50 psi and all seems to flow fine. The added plus of mounting it in the service center is that the location significantly reduces the possibility of me leaving it behind on the campground faucet.

My adjustable WATTS 263-A was on it's way out and I decided to try the new Valterra A01-114VP High Flow Stainless Steel Water Regulator that is available from Amazon for $19.99. What a pleasant surprise! Allows about 55 psi and the rate of flow appears to be as good as the Watts. Very happy also that I don't have to be replacing gages on the regulator. Even the oil filled stainless ones did not last long on the Watts.

I also have a Watson water regulator that is pre-set to 50#'s. Where could I take the unit to have the setting increased to 60# to 65#'s.

We have a CW adjustable one and have it set at 60 psi. We were in a park with water pressure at 70 psi needed one to cut the pressure down. This one was on sale and works well.
