AGM batteries

We have a 2016 High Country 353RL. We have 2 interstate 12 volt batteries that are already bad. Considering replacing with 6 volt AGM batteries. One battery dealer just told me to make sure that the charging system would support AGM batteries. Does anyone know if the 2016 High Country 353RL can charge AGM batteries? A friend has recommended the AGM batteries saying they will last longer.

You may have to reprogram your converter to recognize AGM batteries

If you have the prgressive dynamics converter, it will put out 13.2 vdc in the "storage" mode when your battery is charged and sees little load. In battery specs, this is known as "float" voltage. When your battery is 90% charged, the converter puts out 13.6 vdc and is in the "normal" mode. When the battery is between 50-90% charged, the converter puts out 14.4 vdc and is in the "boost" mode. This is known as the "absorption" voltage on battery specs. AGM battery specs pretty much mirror flooded deep cycle battery specs and can be used interchangebly for house batteries. I ditched my flooded group 27, 75 amp/hr battery for a west marine (made by east penn...think deka) group 31 agm good for 105 amp/hr rating.

Thanks for the replies. We have a WFCO converter. I found on their web site that it will work with AGM batteries. We bought 2 Fullriver 6 volt DC224-6.
