Did it today

Well today was the last day I worked for civil service. I have been given my walking papers and thats it.
Now I can start to use that gold plated payment book more and no scheduals to worry about either.

Congrats and welcome to the retirement clan. We have been enjoying ours for almost two years and couldn't be happier. A great time to rediscover your partner without the stress of work etc. Best thing we ever did was sell the big house and hit the road in our Monty and enjoy our little vacation chalet in WV. Keep us posted on your adventures.

If you have walking papers, than I guess you can just keep right on walking (crusing) down the road. ENJOY.

Hope to cross your path again.
