Thank You MOC!!!

You saved us an expensive and embarrassing trip to the RV repair!! I did the dishes and pulled the drain and the water didn't drain. DH plunged, snaked and hosed the drain to no avail. I suggested we look on MOC board to see if we could be missing something the "smart" people would know! DH said, there isn't anything he hasn't tried, but honey, if you must, go ahead (besides it would get me out of his hair for a little while- LOL!)

So, I did a search here for sink draining problems, and we discovered we might have 2 gray water drains. To amuse me, DH goes out in search of another drain. I hear glug, glug, glug from the sink and my drain is clear!!! Woo Hoo- I can do dishes again!!!

Thank you SO MUCH!!

This is one of those things that happens from time to time. When it is you it is not fun at the time. The first thing one must think of is what did the factory forget to do.
When the solution is found it is one of those experiences you can laugh about and move onto another RVing experience.
Enjoy your travels and happy RVing.

Dont feel bad I think that quite a few of us had the same thing happen to us. when I got my Monty the dealer didnt know where the valve was either, I found out about like you did, through another party. but I did inform the dealer that he should know this at the PDI walk through.

Same thing happened to us on our previous 2880RL. The dealer didn't show us the pull lever between the tires and we found out we did not have a plug-up after a return trip for service. The PDI didn't explain that to us.

We started our PDI and I found a landing gear extension that had a broken weld. By the time the inspection started again the mechanic rushed thru everything, skipping some important topics and overwhelming us with information on the others. This forum has been a godsend in figuring out what we didn't know and how to make things work. Thanks to all who contribute.

Sounds like the old “Hidden galley valve trick”!
That one’s got a lot of MOC’ers.

I love easy fixes. The MOC members are terrific at saving others time, money and frustration. Why, they even suggest modifications to help you spend all that money you saved!

When we bought our previous Mountaineer and were doing the PDI, I got down and took a look underneath. I pointed to a T-Handle midway down the port side of the trailer and asked the guy doing the PDI what it was for. He said he had no idea.....just goes to show that the knowledge here on the forum is more than that of those selling and delivering them. OBTW, it was for the galley tank. He was also unsure of where the black and bathroom gray were either.

Same situation happened with us. At the PDI, our RV Salesman had never stayed in an RV. Next time I buy a unit -- the first question will be--"Have you ever towed and stayed in a unit like I am buying for atleast 4 weeks?"
After the answer, I will request their lead RV tech show me around.
