? Southeastern Tennesse

We are planning a trip to Southeastern TN for about a week in March. Does anyone know of any good campgrounds (full hookups) in the area? We like to sightsee while camping, so we would like a campground that is around activities. We also will be traveling with 2 Jack Russell Terriers so we need a campground that allows pets.

Sounds like Chattanooga? Anyway we stayed at the Chattanooga South KOA a year or so ago attending a reenactment of the battle of Chickamauga. It was fine, but a good bit south of the city (and in Georgia). The only other campground I note is called "Best Holiday Trav L Park" which is very highly rated by Trailer Life Directory.

We have stayed at several parks in Tennessee, including State Parks, but none that I would think of as in "Southeastern Tennessee".

In Chattanooga, Tn , Best Holiday Trav-L- Park is the best, full hookups, free wifi, cable tv. or in Pigeon Forge tn, there are serveral plus 3 that are passport america. lots to do there also. I have stayed at most there but favor Creekside Rv park which is passport and close to all activities. And about all will accept pets. If you decide on Best Holiday in chattanooga tell Randy and Sandra Tommy And Nancy sent you! we lived there for 7 yrs!

Thank-you for the information... but we just changed our minds, we are now going to stay near the Land between the Lakes at Kentucky Dam Village State Park Resort in Gilbertsville,KY. We wanted to get some fishing in! :-)
