Interior Stairway Handrail
Has anyone installed an interior handrail leading up to the bedroom area on their fifth wheel? It seems ripe for someone to fall - especially in the dark morning time coming downstairs with nothing to hold on to. I was thinking of putting one on the outside wall. But how do you locate studs to anchor it to? Thanks in advance for your help.

I thought about installing one too. I put a Mr. Beams motion sensor light by the stairs for when it’s dark, keeps me out of trouble lol.

About 10 miles South of Saratoga,
That rail - again, I used a Whitecap teak 3 loop marine rail, mounted on a separate board between the entry door and the stairwell window to ensure that I caught the aluminum studs. I used the same part for a chort handrail in the S&B on a 2 step between house sections. Gotta take photos and post one of these days

You can use a stud finder just like we do in a S\B house!

I had to use one just for metal/aluminum studs as my elderly usual one for the S&B wood studs wouldn't work on the 5er (though a newer one may).
