Active Polls?
What is the "Active Polls" for at the top of the page? Nothing's ever on it. Is it ever used ? Just curious.

It is very seldom used. But it is nice to have if and when we need it.

Is this something we can use or only for the moderators? I know there are some other forums where the user can submit polls? Was just curious if I was missing something as well.

In the MOC forum the poll process is strictly for Admin use only. You're not missing anything. If you have an idea for a poll then contact any Moderator or Admin.

Okay, let's see, what do they say? Curiousity killed the cat? So, what sort of thing would you poll about? I mean, I'm sorry but I just can't picture anything that it would be. I need an example to satisfy my brain please.

When the MOC first started we had some "polls". I remember one was "What model Montana do you have?". Then the admin (or a designee) would tally up the results every so often and post them. It seems like there was one about travelling with pets - maybe what kind. Some other topics of interest might be to see how many folks use state parks in each state, or how many have used national parks, etc.

Oh Thank You VanMan!! Don't know why I had so much trouble comprehending this whole thing! It seems with this forum, we take our own "polls" in our topics. With all the new members that are joining, maybe we should suggest a poll topic to the Admin. Seems like it would be interesting to know some new "stats" on things just by voting.

Poor admins! I'd bet polls would be a lot of work for them to tally up and report and all. But they probably don't have anything else to do anyhow!
