Switch protector

In our 05 3400 the water pump switch and the water heater switch are mounted on the right wall as you come down the steps. On occasion I have bumped them and turned the hot water heater on. Well the other day I must have hit it and it was on for about 3 hours before it was noticed. The drain was out and tank empty. but it still works.
Is there any kind of wire or plastic box that can be put over these switches to keep them from being turned on accidently??

And on another note. has anyone moved their generator switch to a more convenient location. Ours is located in the bedroom closet.

thanks

I don't know of a cover to protect from unintended operation butI think the reason your tank still functions is because that switch control the gas operation of the water heater. At least that is what it controls on mine. Operating the heater while empty in electric mode burns out the electric heating element. Jim

On our rig you can open the bathroom door all the way and that covers that area, so that's what we do. The newer side isles are better because you can use the bedroom without opening the door, but ours is older so we can shield the switches.

The new Montanas come with a translucent cover over the switch panel. I bet it would fit the switch panel on an older rig. You might visit a dealer, compare the size of the new panel vs. yours and if it is close, order one.
