superglide hitch
I just purchased a used superglide hitch. What cost is reasonable for installation in a chevrolet 2500. Also can a teflon disc be used with this hitch. Is a template necessary for proper hitch installation? Thanks

Did it come with the under carrage stuff for your truck or do you have to start over,, it mite be too much already as the whole unit installed and all is not that steep , unless you got it close to nothing as the labor is 30% at least of the cost , then the under truck stuff and the rite wiring , and was it just re fixed up by pullrite or does it need a lot of work. mine needed a lot of work after 15000 miles so it cost me 150.00 at pullrite to get it up to par and i think it is wearing the same again sailer

after our truck konked out on us in Alaska, we had to buy a new truck and have our Husky manual slider with rails installed by someone other than the truck dealer and it cost us $500. Be sure and check the bolts after a few hundred miles, we checked ours after we got home, 4,000 miles and all bolts were only finger tight. Stacy

Teflon disk is not used with this hitch. Read all instructions that come with it. Pullrite has a great web site.

Forget CW for this install. Down here in Clearwater we have a trailer dealer (not RVs) that will probably do the job for less $$. Check around Weeki Wachee for such a trailer dealer.

Pullrite hitches do come with template instructions for all brand vehicles on new units. If you are considering install by yourself, go to Pullrite website, and either call them (1-877-PULLRITE) or email them for the install instructions on the model unit that you have. The teflon item is not used with Superglide's Quick Connect setup for shortbed trucks. Not sure what you have for a vehicle. I didn't look, but the instructions may be on their site as well. I paid our dealer $300 to install our Superglide 18K hitch on our 2007 Chev 2500HD. II thought that was a good price and the install has been great thus far. Good Luck. Dennis

Don't know much about the Super Glide hitch but I always replace the frame rail hardware (Nuts and Bolts etc) on any hitch if its not new. GBY....

Figure 3 to 4 hours at whatever a dealers labor rate is. $300 to $350 Get a new bolt kit if it has been installed before, its not recommended to reuse the bolts because they have been stretched.

The dealer here in Wi. stated it is illegal to reuse the bolts. When we went from our old truck to our new truck it was cheaper to purchase a new rail set than pay the labor to remove the old rails, buy the new bolts and re-install them in the new truck. I don't know if we got taken but that's how the exchange went for us between trucks.

I had to go back and check my receipts. I bought the superglide new. The installation labor is listed as $275.00. The work was done by Quality Bumper in Prescott Valley, AZ. The labor price obviously does not include any of the parts.
