RGV Flea Markets

We made the flea market in Brownsville last Saturday. Lot's of fruit and veggies. We drove from Port Mansfield to Mission yesterday and saw lots of flea markets. Anyone made any of those? Any recommendations?

DonWes on Victoria Rd, not far south off Expressway 83 is the one most people go to. There is also a Farmers Market across Business 83 from the Flea Market there. It is called DonWes because it is located between the towns of Donna and Weslaco.

On edit, I should have mentioned that the Flea Market is only open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Farmer's Market is everyday.

This is our first winter in the RGV! We've been to DonWes a couple of times and to the Farmer's Market across the street. Both are great! I'm sure we'll go a few more times before we leave. The fruit and vegetables are beautiful--we had cherry tomatoes that were the sweetest we've ever eaten. Last Sunday we stopped at a flea market right off business 83 at Mercedes----no to that one!! We are just lovin' the Rio Red grapefruit from the tree right at our site in Llano Grande. Sure will be nice when the rainy weather stops and the sun shines again but everything is so lush and beautiful!

Thanks for the input. We'll make it down this weekend perhaps. Definitely the farmer's market. Can't take advantage of too many other deals, as I would have to get rid of something I already have.
