PullRite SuperGlide and Fold-A-Cover

Hello....

Does anyone have the PullRite Superglide 16k hitch with the Fold-A-Cover bed cover? We have a 2005 F350 4x4 and we're leaning towards the Fold-A-Cover. Hitch is being insalled tomorrow. Wondering if the Fold-A-Cover will clear the hitch.

Also, has anyone installed the Fold-A-Cover themselves or is it worth paying someone to install?

Thanks a bunch, and have a GREAT day!

I just had a fold-a-cover installed on my 05 F350. Do not have a 5er hitch installed yet but know a draw-tite 16K hitch will fit Ok because there is a forum member that has one.In my case it was worth having the dealer install it for me but if you are handy don't see why you could not do it yourself. The instruction manual for the installation is only 13 8X10 pages long?????

I have the fold-a-cover on my Dodge 2500 and I love the cover. I had a Pullrite 16K Superglide hitch installed in the bed and the cover clears it just fine. One problem though. Even when the cover is folded back to expose the hitch I cannot see the hitch from the drivers seat and that makes it difficult to hook up. I plan on putting a small guide rod (fiberglass stick like you would find on a bicycle flag) on the front of the hitch to provide the visual for me. It will be tall enough to see yet short enough to clear the hitch pin. I think that will work fine. I love the cover though.

Does the Fold-a-Cover give a watertight seal to the bed?

Stan...I have not yet seen any water in or on the bed of the truck with the fold -a-cover Been in several heavy rains and hosed washed several times. On My 05 350 you CAN see daylight between the bottom of the tailgate and the bed and that might pull water up when traveling but that is NOT the covers fault. We had rain last night..went out a looked under the cover just now..it is dry.Proper installation will have a lot to do with a good water tight seal.
