Bozeman

If you haven't been here, or drove by, reconsider next time you may be in the area.
We came down a long canyon between two mountains into the open and there sits Bozeman, before town, we headed to Bear Canyon RV Park. Sue got out as we went under the 13'4" overpass to insure we wouldn't hit. (My old ant. Dome was 13' 6") we cleared with around 6" to spare.
Trains, trains trains, and their horns..but otherwise it is great.
We are headed back downtown today to a branch of our bank and to have a great Mexican Lunch at a neat sidewalk café.

Check it out:

Ozz, we were in Bozeman a few weeks ago for the first time and fell in love with the area. As you say lots of trains just across the street from the RV Park. We found a great Mexican Restaurant called Fiesta Mexicana down at 515 W Aspen St. This was recommended by the owners of the RV Park who eat there all the time. I must admit the food was great. Rich

Take a trip to Wal-mart, otherwise known as the RV parking lot and homeless hangout.

Two years ago we visited friends that had moved from Salem, Oregon to Missoula, MT and we fell in love with Missoula. They have a great downtown area with galleries and a farmers market that is to die for.

Let me add to the confused. Earlier you were Bozeman to Billings and now you are going to check out Missoula. Check your map! Went near your home through KC, hot hot hot and traffic traffic traffic. Don't go back there, stay in the west above 6k until Oct.
Also,
if your in the area, check out sites in Montrose and Durango. We plan on spending next summer in that area. Thanks and we are home in Fl now and hot hot hot.

Mike, if you didn't know that I am 'Dingy' by now, well... I try.
I guess I was all over the place. I do know I am in Bozeman now.
We do plan on heading to Durango, glad you made it home safe, you had quite a trip.
I guess Sturgis is in full swing now.

My bride was born and raised in Bozeman. She claims it is the original Garden of Eden and I thought it best not to argue.

Kyle, you are a lucky man, as everyone we have met or talked to here are really nice outgoing people. We love the city and area.

If I'm not mistaken there is a museum ther on the south side of town.Spend the night at the rest stop before going on to Missoula. If you are going to missoula try get into Jay and Marys Campground nice place.I would call as soon as you can because they are fullabout every night. Missoula has a park downtown and on one day they have lots of eatery for lunch. Many chooses. Jim

What direction are you heading after Bozeman? My wife & I lived about 1 1/2 hours North of Missoula, Bigfork, for 20 years, still have friends and family there and try to visit at least once a year. We purchased our 3400RL in Missoula 2 years ago when we got ready to get out of the restaurant business and full-time. The link below was recently posted on UTube by the Bigfork Chamber of Commerce. There's a lot of beautiful country and things to see North of Missoula including Flathead Lake, biggest fresh water lake West of the Mississippi.

Thanks! Will check it out. We just may head for Missoula, after we go to Butte. We are still deciding what to do.

Last summer when we worked for a friend and owner of Jackson Hot Springs Lodge in Jackson, Montana, we would drive to Butte once every 2 weeks for the wife's Walmart fix. Jackson is in the Big Hole Valley, 6500ft elevation, one summer there was enough but the Big Hole Valley is another beautiful place about 1 1/2 hours South of Butte. There are pictures on my last link in my MOC signature.
