Flat tire

On our trip from J’ville, NC to Agusta, Ga.we stopped at the SC rest stop on I 95 just below the boarder and found the front passenger tire on the trailer was flat. It had not been flat log so I may have gotten the flat while pulling into the rest stop. It had a large (two wads of plug material) puncture close to the edge. I did plug it just I case I needed it as a spare. I put the spare on and found the valve stem leaking at the rim edge of the valve stem. We made it to Florance taking exit 169 (TV Road) and found a great tire shop (BestOne tire and service) that took great care of us. It was a commercial truck tire shop so we pulled truck and trailer into their bay, they let me help position the jack so it did not mess up the trailer frame, installed a new valve stem on the spare and replaced the punctured tire. We were delayed about two hours over all. If you ever need tire service in Florence they have my strong recommendation.

John, glad you caught it when you did and didn't have any damage! Were you still ridding on the Missions?

We are glad that you folks made it through OK. Augusta, GA brings back memories of many years ago at Fort Gordon.

Yes I am. Knock on Wood. They still look good. This puncture was not the tires fault.
Cheers,

Gotta love those commercial tire places w/the big bays for big rigs! Had same good experience w/screw punctures in Salina, KS. Good folks and out the door on our way in no time. Glad all is well w/you and Ann!!! Water hose thawed, now?!
