Loose wire
The weather turned a little cooler. We awakened to a furnace not turning on or lighting. Glad we had the fireplace and a small ceramic heater.
I went through my routine of checking to see if I had propane, checking the thermostat for operation, Checking the breaker, and then opening up the outside cover. The red LED trouble light was flashing rapidly with no pauses which matched none of the trouble signals. Hmmmmmm
My unit is the Atwood model 8535-IV and it is mounted vertically. I called up the online manual and went through the troubleshooting routine. No help. I called Atwood Tech Support in Elkhart. He had me use my multimeter to check a couple of connections on the connector to the circuit board. Then while looking for a switch, I wiggled the wiring harness and the furnace came on indicating a loose wire. Tightened things up, replaced the cover and all is well. Sure beats paying a $100 minimum for a service call.

Way to go! It's always better to exhaust your best effort before spending. Even when a coach is under warranty , it's still better. Larry

Those loose wires seem to be a problem everywhere! These Montanas do take a beating on the road, and things shake loose
