It grabbed me

I went to my Ford dealership the other day to by diesel additive and was passing a 2011 Ford F450 and it grabbed me and wouldn't let go until I took it home. My dealer made me and offer I couldn't refuse. The F450 FX 4X4 King Ranch is outfitted with a 25K Reese Signature Hitch. Rosetta and I will be taking it on a short trip with the Monty when we go to Long SC 14-17 Jan 11 to celebrate Jim Fischer's birthday. We are looking forward to when we can take it on a longer trip later in the year.

So George really, how hard did it grab? More importantly, how hard did you try and get away? Congratulations. Anxious to hear how it performs on your first trip. Jim

Nice!

I can see the T-shirt:

"I visited my Ford dealer to buy some diesel additive and all I got was this lousy F450 FX 4X4 King Ranch!"

Oh, George! You are gonna love it! We have an older model and have been very happy with it! We went from a 250 to the 450. It was a nice change. I love the King Ranch! It is very nicely outfitted. Hope to meet you out on the road one of these days. Enjoy!

George, that is one fine looking truck. I had my truck in for service and was looking at an F350 with the same color scheme just last week. After a major tug-o-war, I managed to pull free. But I still keep thinking about it, even so far as going to nada.com and checking invoicing pricing on it.

Thanks everyone. Looking forward to putting it to the test. paul: I lik the T shirt idea lol; Dave: didn't need the written permission. She knew it was just a matter of time. Paul: We plan to expand our reach beyond the East Coast and the Great Lake. We may cross paths somewhere on the road. Bill: go for it.

George, I'm not a Ford man but you have me green, purple, orange, rainbow (well you get the picture) with envy! I'm happy for you both. It sure sounds like a sweet truck. I hope you enjoy many, many trouble free & happy miles with it. Enjoy!!

Congratulations, George and Rosetta. I love new truck, in fact, anything new. Two years ago I took my 2500 to a dealer for an oil change and walked out with a NEW 3500 dually, therefore my assumption is that visiting a truck dealer can be hazardous to your wallett/checking acct/money under mattress/money in coffee can, you catch my drift. Now when I take my truck in for oil change I don't even look at the new trucks. (I did, almost, buy a 450 with 4.88 gears. It was a towing monster, BUT, the dealer admitted that gas mileage would be around 7-8 mpg, scared be away real quick). I'm sure it is better now.....Anyway, good luck with it and have many happy miles........

The words from the contemporary gospel song, “I can Only Imagine” come to mind. Nice looking truck; enjoy!
