The GAS hot water heater. Now I'm confused, If the water is already HOT why would you need a "Hot Water Heater"???

THANKS, A BEER FOR YOU

You know I was dry camping this weekend and useing 2 honda 2000's the gens and a/c really kicked the overload on them.had plenty of propane wished I knew it then. I will use that switch next time, propane on frig and hot water....a/c will be on hondas...by the way I used the "extended fuel tank setups 6 gals hooked to 2 hondas and used 1/4 tank in 4-1/2 hours!![a/c set on 59] shut it down after that so I am guessing 12 to 15 hours on this setup.

If you want to use the propane for the water heater instead of electric, you must turn off the electric (either outside behind the WH door or the breaker in the box). Otherwise you will be running BOTH electric and propane at the same time.

I have found that for quick recovery, or to boost the temp of the electric heater portion of the hot water heater that turning on the propane switch gives a lot hotter water.
It does in fact give quick recovery after a shower or some unusual hot water usage.

You can run both electric and propane at the same time. As Rick said it is good for a fast recovery.
Happy trails........................
