Remote keyless fobs

Recently my remote key fob for my 2005 Chevy Silverado quit working. At first I thought it might be the battery but it wasn't, so went to a GM dealership here in Canada. They wanted $90 for a new fob and $30 for re-programming!!!
After hunting on the internet I found this site.

https://www.keyless-remotes.com

They offer them for all vehicles. A new one for my Chev was $42 with free shipping and included how to re program which was really easy. Quite a savings! It was exactly the same as my old one. It was also a genuine GM fob.

Darn!

Wish I had known about that website yesterday. I bought a remote for $68 from a GMC dealer. But fortunately I found instructions on the internet about programing it. The dealer wanted $30 for a 2 minute job!!!

Hope someone else will be able to save some money!

Thanks for the web site. I looked mind up and I still have to go to the dealer to have it work, Bummer and its still expensive. so that means DONT LOOSE YOUR KEYS.

Depends on where you live as to the cause of remote key fob not working. It happens a lot around here when the Navy ships rotate their radars. The first time it happened to me I thought it might be the battery. But then when the ship left that afternoon the fob started working again. So not always is it the battery.
