1500 Yr Old Tree
While traveling the east coast these past two months came along this amazing TREE. It is the oldest living thing east of the Rockies. To be standing along side something living that long and this large in this modern day I was awestruck. Some of us I'm sure have seen this tree but for others I hope you put it on your list of to-do's.
Here is a link to the tree: http://www.angeloaktree.org/history.htm

I'll add my "Wow"! OK I'll even add my very own "Amazing", too!
Thank you for posting this. It is always nice to learn about such things.

Been there, done that.
Truly amazing. The people standing around it give it a good perspective. I have one of Earlene standing in front of the trunk. She looks so small in comparison. I hope you stayed at James Island County Park with the RV. A destination campground, for sure.

Yes Wayne we did stay at James Island City CG very nice and now WIFI. Saw a triathlon, remote control sail boat race, they have a full doggie park and doggy beach.
Jim the tree is near your back door an easy drive, we almost over looked it but glad we saw the tree.
Note: when you come see the Live Oak leave the Camper at the CG the road is sandy dirt with low trees, on the plus side it is free.
