Here is another thing to CHECK!!!!

Sorry for the long post
Well, here is another thing that you all need to check...
We have had a on and off, electrical shock that you would get off of the coach, but could not locate where the problem was coming from.
about 6 months ago, the GFI outlet kept popping and could not locate a problem, check and check and checked. so replaced with a regular outlet no problem.
Then this morning the 20 amp breaker popped and would not reset.
Went to checking, took the wiring off the kitchen outlet and OK in and dead short out, the slide dead short, then I went under the kitchen slide and there are two water resistance boxes and opened up the first and as I was taking off the screws water came out.
Took the cover off and the box was 1/2 full of water took the plate off the top one and it was full of water.
The wires and boxes were heavily corrioded.
Well as I took thing apart and dried thing out, I found where the plastic coating of the black wire was eaten away, probably where the wire was nicked when the outer coating of the wire orginally cut.
The black and ground were creating a dead short.
Well were was the water coming from.
There is a 12/2 and 14/2 that runs behind the furnace then through the floor and into two piece of flex conduit to the two junction boxes.
Well, the holes are not sealed nor is where the wires go into the conduit.
So any leak of water, like from the shower plumbing, the water pump, the valve up in the wall from the flush go onto the floor and follow the wires, down and fills up the boxes.
Relaced the boxes, cut back the wires, filled the holes with expandable foam.
SO
I reccommend to everyone to remove the cover plates and check the wiring, fill the hole in the floor with foam and conduit where the wires go in.

Thanks for the info Sven. Did you ever figure out where your water came from?

The anti-sphion valve for the black tank flush in the wall, would not seal and leaked when we flush the black tank, a leak from loose fittings in the shower plumbing and at the water line by the water pump.
Any water leak in that area will flow to where the wires run out.
It runs to the area on the outside of the frame.
