Unexpected discussion that I overheard

Sometimes you overhear things that strike you as odd. I was waiting to get my hair cut by the same girl who colors and cuts my wife's hair. So it's a beauty shop and not a barbershop. There are a few guys who come and go, but mostly it's the women you see and hear. So I'm using my phone to read the online news and I hear two women taking about replacing one of their trucks. The discussion got into 4x4 vs. 4x2, dually vs. SRW, diesel vs. gas. Sounded more like a couple guys at a barbershop. Turns out both these ladies raise horses.

As you can tell from my photos, I have perfect hair. It takes an expert to keep it that way. No barber can do that

Many moons ago, we wanted to buy a custom van, you know, all that high top and fancy smancy stuff.

We were told by the van conversion company to go purchase a van from the dealer with certain specs and package. One of the little quirks we needed to order was a "throw away" drivers seat.

Lost count how many dealers we went to that had no flipping idea what we were talking about.

Finally found a dealer and a sales person that knew.

Sales person was a girl. She knew more about vans and trucks than 10 of the other sales people put together. She wanted to make $$. She knew to do that she had to out shine and out "knowledge" every other sales person in town.

So, she learned all there was to know and then some.

She was one heck of a sales person! Yep, she got the sale.

Best truck/van sales person we have ever had. EVER! First one Al did not have to educate before we could order what we wanted.

In our home part of the world horse women travel thousands of miles to show or compete with their horses. If they don't know trucks and towing they aren't the real thing.

There are more of us out there than you might think. I started with Farm wagons, then several pop-ups, two TT, a 2955RL Montana and now a 40' 17K+ SOB.

The voice of experience here. You always have the right to the last word with a female that messes with horses, "Yes, ma'am."
