Filling fresh water tank

We will be using fresh water tank for the first time. My old SOB had a tube sticking out bottom that started draining when FW tank was full. This was a different tube than the Fw drain tube. Does my 2015 3160 have an overfill tube and if so , where? If not, how do I know when tank is full without going inside to check level indicator ( if that would even be accurate)

Tube out the bottom is probably the drain tube with either a cap system or shut-off vavle. Overflow on my unit is behind a door along with manual fill...both of which I think are now gone in new units. Book says fill to 2/3 mark using the tank monitor in unit period. John

There's a vent with a plastic cap on the streetside wall rear.

On my 2015 there is no Manual fill or overflow vent but there was on my 2012 so sometime between 2012-2015 they stopped putting manual fill and overflow vent on and I don't know why

There's gotta be a vent somewhere otherwise the fresh water tank will swell up like a balloon while filling. Surely Keystone isn't currently just letting them lay inside the belly pan??? Could there be a plastic drain tube sticking down underneath the rear of your fiver ... if so the vent line should be right next to it.

I do have the drain pipe, didn't see anything else, where would an overfill go?

Should there be a drain hose below your belly pan ... sadly the vent line could be right next to it just laying inside the belly. All the fittings for fresh water fill, supply, drain, and vent are grouped together on the same end of your tank. Are you sure you don't have a little plastic hood on the street side exterior wall towards the rear of your camper about hip high?
Here's a cutaway of a fresh water tank ... you're looking inside out towards the street side. The fitting bosses are labeled just to give you an idea of where the ftgs are located on a tank.
The second photo shows a vent ... it is the black hood above the rear marker light.

Diesel guy, thank you so much for all the info. Yes, I do have that little hood, I wondered what it was! Will water come out there if over filled?

It should as it is the vent ... if you look under the hood you'll see the hose end with a screen on it to keep bugs out.

Send a message via AIM to stengels
Water will absolutely come out when the tank is full.
