Slides Moving Out While Driving

On my way home from Florida today my slides kept moving out. All Three of them. The bedroom slide would move out about 2 to 3 inches. The Kitchen moved out about 6 inches and the couch and dining room table moved out about 2 inches. I could move them back in tight with the switch and then they would move back out as I drove. Anybody had this problem? Any ideas what could be wrong?

Sounds like a possible hydraulic leak.

Check the reservoir to see if it is low. If it is and there is no evidence of fluid at the pump, then it is most likely a hose or fitting that has sprung a leak.

The easiest fitting to check, apart from the ones at the pump, is the one for the bedroom, under the bed.

Good luck!

Had that problem on a 2001 3295RK. Took it to 3 dealers and they could not find the problem. They called Dewald and they said it was a bad pump. $900 later and that did not fix the problem . So we traded it off. Plus we had frame problems. Hope they can fix your problem.

I agree with Mike, first thing to check is the fluid reservoir for the hydraulic pump. We have towed many miles without incident. Best of luck.

Check with MIMF2 for the answer, but this has been discussed before and one possibility is a hydraulic ram has bad seals and letting the pressure feed all the cylinders so the slides come out. You might do a search and see what comes up.

Just an update on status of problem. I checked the fluid level and it was full with no signs of leaks. Ran the slides in and out several times and the problem went away. Hope it's gone for good but am certainly going to watch it closely on the next few trips.
