Has anyone converted the Winnegard Carry Out antenna to accept the Direct TV genie receiver? I was told we could buy a part to make it work with the Genie for less than $200.

You will need a SWM-8 and a Power Inserter (PI-29) to make this work. Of course you will be limited to SD signals off of satellite 101. Read this brochure from Solid Signal (a good place for the pieces/parts and advice).
