Cathy and I will be staying in Spokane from 22/23 Jun until 5 July. We are going to try the Fam Camp at Fairchild if available. Has anyone stayed there that could offer advice???

If Fairchild not avail, We will need some other place to stay, ANY SUGGESTIONS????? Would like a Large Pull thru with full hook ups. No backing yet unless VERy BIG SPACE. Also love trees.......

Hope to meet all the folks from Spokane while we are there....Then it is off to the LOW conference in Moscow, ID starting on Jul 5th.

Anycone else going to this?????

Feel free to PM me if you want to make your reples private. Thanks

I have not stayed at the Fairchild Famcamp, but I have driven by it several times. It is about a half mile from Base Ops. It is an open area and not many trees. Here's a web page I found for Fairchild Famcamp: http://www.tldirectory.com/whatToDo/DDML07.pdf Non-reservation phone #s are: (509) 247-2511/5366.

The same web page has Clear Lake Rec Area Famcamp just off I-90 west of Spokane at Salnave Rd.(Exit 264) Reservations (509) 247-2511.(Same phone number for both Fairchild and Clear Lake)

As for other CGs, you don't want to stay at the KOA on Barker Rd.(I-90 Exit 293) "Searchers" stayed there a couple weeks ago and they were not very happy with KOA(I don't have the particulars) There is Riverside State Park on the westside of Spokane. I haven't stayed there, but I know of people who have. If you need more, PM me and we'll find something.

We are not going to LOW - maybe someday.

We are looking forward to meeting you & Cathy too.

Keep us posted.

I have not stayed at the Riverside state park campground but I did a drive by the last time I was in Spokane. The campground looked good. I would want a site by the river rather than one that is overlooked by the road into the park. The road into the park is kind of winding.

I also took a look at www.spokanervresort.com this park looked fantastic but is a good drive out of town to Deer Park. They had great spaces ..You have to know that if I would consider a back up spot there that you would be fine.

In a pinch Trailer's Inn in Spokane Valley could work. It is a little tight but it does sound better than the KOA.
