Going to be in Last Vegas at the Oasis RV Resort --- Monday Nov 20th departing Friday. Think we will head to Williams, Arizona to check out the Grand Canyon for a couple of days then on to Yuma. Anyone else staying in the Las Vegas area for Thanksgiving????

Be sure to leave your trailer in Williams while going to the Grand Canyon. It is not fun pulling a trailer up there, and it is hard to find a place to park so you can see anything. The only campground that will fit your trailer is a glorified gravel parking lot for which they soak you $50. Take some warm clothes as it can be chilly up there. If you get a chance, go to Jerome, a mining town south of there. It is built into the side of a mountain. Lots of neat little stores (one store carries only kaelidiscopes, ranging from tiny to huge and beautiful) and old buildings (some of which have some interesting tilts). Taking the trailer not recommended, there are 150 hairpin turns in 30 miles.

We stayed at Trailer Village in the Park this past March and were very happy with it. Got full hookups in a very central location for $25 a night. We didn't make reservations, but got the last space they had. I would think you could find a spot in late November, but I'd sure take my long johns.
