Normally opposite door side at the very front. Also inside a kitchen cabinet Take a digital picture works very well.

If you need a pencil tracing, there is a plate riveted to the side of the pin box mount piece of the frame.

Other wise, like others have said, take a picture.

Not a dumb question at all. Ditto jlb27537's reply. Pin box.I believe I had to do the same thing when I brought mine from New York to Pennsylvania.

It is also stamped into the steel on the drivers side of the pin box sleeve.

It should be on the driver side (opposite the door side) around your level up panel. It will be a sticker.

Where is the VIN number on a 2014 Montana 3402rl?

I received my Montana after the devastating November Camp Fire in Paradise, CA. I am now 2 & 1/2 years later finally purchasing a home. I never registered the Montana and now must do so to sell it. I need to money from it to apply to my home. Where is the VIN number on a Montana 3402 RL? The DMV is requiring a professional vehicle identifier or peace officer to verify it by going to the trailer. I need to be able to show him where it is located. Please remember that I am an absolute newbie when it comes to terminology - such as I do not know what a pin box is. Thank you in advance.

For future reference, if you care, the pin box is the metal hitch protruding underneath the front of the rig. It will have the "pin" that goes into the hitch in the back of your truck.
