Dometic Thermostats
Does anyone know of a good replacement for Dometic Thermostats , they are too sensitive and unreliable in my opinion. AKA pieces of crap.

I have been fulltiming since 2012 in my 2013 montana and have had zero issues with my dometic thermostat to date. Is there a better thermostat that will mate with the electronics in the dometic ac units...I do not know the answer to that, but dometic would. Maybe someone will know the answer to your question, but they will probably need to know what year and model of Montana you have in order to know what ac units you might have.

2018 3790rd picked it up this past September, it seems like it's a lot more work than it should be sometimes. It seems like every time I have an issue I have to reset it, POS in my opinion.

Ours are fine as long as you don't brush against them. Very sensitive and easy to change with just a brush of the shoulder.

If you push and hold both temp up or down buttons at the same time momentarily it should reset, maybe LOL.

Let us know what you find out! I agree, it is one of the two issues I am perplexed with:
1. The thermostats are so touchy, they were the same in our Kodiak Ultimate (Dometic). Sometimes the temp starts adjusting on its own and goes all the way up or down when you want to only make a small adjustment. The one in our bedroom works perfectly, but the main room thermostat is a source of constant frustration.
2. Our bumper pull Kodiak had a way to loop the satellite feed into the cable outlets. All the TVs were on the same channel, but all the TVs could get the satellite coming out of one receiver. Haven't cracked the code on how to do that in the Montana yet.
Any help with either is much appreciated!

When my first Dometic stopped working - it wouldn't turn the AC on at all, I replaced it with the same model - little levers for on/off auto/on and a slide mechanism for temperature. The RV is parked empty, but I keep the AC on for mildew - but pushed up to 90, the highest it can go. The RV is actually cool - like 75! I can't believe the calibration is off by 15 degrees. It has been like that for 18 months. I wish I knew how to change it out for a little higher tech one.
