Sliding door repair???

While traveling yesterday I hit some pretty big bumps and discovered the track on the top of the sliding pocket door has pulled loose from the cieling. Does anyone know how to get into the slot to reinstall the screws to repair it? I don't see how to remove the door from the track, and there is no way I can see to get in there.

On my rig that pocket is sandwiched between the shower and the pantry. I know I would not go through the shower, so that leaves the back wall of the pantry. I can see that screws secure the molding that holds in the back wall of the pantry. I am thinking that if you remove those screws, the back wall will come out to give you access to the pocket door hardware. I have not done this myself, but that is where I would start to deal with it.

Unfortunately, this is not a rare experience. Here is one posting re: the problem and solution.

Here is an alternative approach to avoid cutting a hole in the wall.

Lee the same thing happened to me. As Butch mentioned many have had this happen and it can be fixed without going to a dealer if one is a little handy.
I drilled new screw holes in the back of the track after removing it from the header. It is a tight squeeze but you can reach back in the pocket and reattach the track to the header replacing screws as needed. After removing one of the header trim pieces there will be access to the top of the door when reinstalling it and you can reattach the cam locks on top of the door. The door will pivot to slide the door into the pocket.
The trim piece on the header track above the steps is just nailed on and can be reattached using brad nails and putty.
After it is reattached I am sure it will be better than factory installed.
In the 3150 the cabinet is an angle cabinet and there is not much room to cut any access hole. That pocket is a tight squeeze for the arm but it can be done.

Thanks for all the information. My door is between the shower and the back of the television. I think I can cut an access hole inside the television cabinet that will never be visible. I'll give that a try.

Thanks again.

Lee, I also had to cut a hole to get to my door track. I cut a square hole and retrieve the cut piece. After you finish the track repair cut some molding to cover the cutout piece with half of it sticking over the edge. The cutout piece will of course fit back into the hole and now you have a lip to screw to the back of the cabinet wall. It would be a snap if your track comes loose again. The patch almost looks like it should be there. Well, almost.
