Front sliding closet door fix
I know there have been a lot of posts on the front sliding closet doors. I have a very cheap fix for them flying open and breaking the mirrors. What I did is put two small eyes from eye hooks on the door and door jamb. When the door closes they eyes cross and I then put a snap ring thru them.
They have never come loose and the doors no longer come open when traveling. Cheap fix, all parts bought at Lowes for less than $10.00. With the color of the eyes, dark brown, you are not even aware they are there. I used the bright colored snap rings which add a visual check that they are in place before heading out. I put the eyes at the bottom of the doors where the factory puts the ridiculous straps. This does away with all the noodles and pillows some are using.
The doors slide normally when not latched as there is plenty of clearance at the bottom of the doors. I used 1/4 inch eyes.

I use a device called Burglabar from Amazon-works great to keep doors from coming open-mounted it near the bottom.

Im confused...My 2013 3400rl has a latch that holds the sliding closet doors in the closed position. Not all Montanas with sliding closet doors have the latch?

We have a 3725RL and it has the latch but the thin piece of wood that is supposed to stop the second door from sliding broke off during one of our first trips and the doors came off the runners so now I use the pillows to prop the doors open. I bought some tie back straps but saw a better fix at the Rally in TN - just have to get my hubby to copy that project....
Or maybe the tech will have a better solution at the National Rally...

Traveling with the doors closed and latched in my 2014 3402RL didn't work as the doors came off the track. Once they were fixed and latched top and bottom to the tracks, I just bungee them open. Installed a couple of eyelets to hook the bungees.

Sliding closet door fix. Close closet doors completely. Drill small hole (1/4" or so) through both doors where they overlap about 2" from bottom 1 1/2" from the edge. Use a wood dowel slightly smaller than the hole but still snug and push in hole until tight. No cost except maybe 75 cents for the dowel. Used a similar fix to prevent shower door from sliding while traveling. Used a $2 metal pin from Ace Hdwe. Hole in top frame.

When traveling we close and use the clip to secure the doors. We stuff swim noodles in the doors in the upper section and also the sides. Have not had a problem since. We also use the noodles in our pocket doors and they stayed secure.
