We all need and wont something different in a camper and tow vehicle. What I have wouldn’t suit any body here but me. The only person we need to convince we have the best tow vehicle and camper is the person that paid for it.

I agree that in the end the guy with the money decides what he gets.

However, when a newbie ASKS for our advice we are obligated to offer same. Selecting a tow truck is a big decision and anyone asking deserves our honest opinions. It might get heated but it is actually healthy that we have these debates.

No one on here doubts that I am clearly in the "buy more truck than you need" camp. I clearly stated that for the OP at the get go. But if you look at my first few posts to this thread you will also clearly see that I recognize that not everyone needs the exact same truck. In fact, I actually suggested that the OP might be better off to stick with what he had even though it was undersized based on the numbers. Sometimes it just doesn't make economic sense to make a trade.

In the end, you and I can agree to disagree about how to advise someone about a tow truck but that doesn't mean that we can't still be friends.
