Opinions on the Central Vacuum

The MSRP for the 2007 Montanas list the Central Vacuum option at $455. We can buy a lot of Swiffers for that kind of money. We're just curious about how you folks feel about the Central Vacuum.

Ours came with one. It works good and takes up less space. But you can get a terrific Dyson for that much cash.

Would not want to be without it. It works great and does a much better job than any Swiffer I have used.

From the DW. (I agree ... and yes, I do vacuum!)

Once we purchased the battery charged power head, it works great for us. We have a golden Lab with much hair!

We added a Dirt Devil central vac and it was one of the best improvements that we have made. I would not be without it. We also ordered a power head but I haven't had time to use it as of yet. I'm not sure if it's battery operated or not. I think it's just driven by the suction???

If we ever are fortunate enough to get a new Montana it will have a central vac.

I installed a Dirt Devil for Patti this spring. Heh, guess what, I can also clean the truck and put the hose thru the laudry chute and do the basement. We purchased ours from the internet for around $300 and it took me about two hours to do it myself. There is a lot a person can do to your Montana and this was an easy one. I haven't seen the kind of swifters that clean carpet, but then again, I'm a guy and these things are not introduced to us till our wives tell us how to use them!

Ours had one in it when we got it and it is very helpfull, but I don't think it is worth $450 to us. The hose storage is a pain, so a more comact one all contained would suit us better.

Mine came with one. It works very well and the hose is very good quality and will reach everywhere in the unit. It is an expensive option but it is so convenient to use, I say go for it.

We opted out on this one, use our compact 39 buck Dirt Devel "Dynomite" and mini shop vac we had from our stick house. Mostly because of the bag cost with 2 big dogs on board. Maybe next time..........

Remember the..........

Me thinks Dave is referring to the return of the BIG SKY. It is official, the BIG SKY will be returning to the Montana line up. It should be re-introduced at the Kentucky Dealer show.

BTW-We did opt for the central vacuum in our new rig.

Ok then we can say BIG SKY Montana Now. We also are hesitant to see one..I can not be responsible for what I might do under the influence of Big Skiinites..Dave may have to change his screen name..

We omitted this option...figured it cost too much, took up too much space, and added weight. Got what used to be called an 'electric broom' at WalMart...light, versatile, cheap, small, and easy to use.
