Ours is always plugged in here at the house. We've never had any problems. If we were fulltiming it would be plugged in so there should be any difference.
Happy trails...........................

When it comes to the replacement of the bed - you might check with mattress world - or some other mfg. - and have one made - we originally paid nearly $100 for a topper, only to find it fell short of our expectations, so measured the mattress and when all was said and done, with a pillowtop mattress to rv standards - which they already had at the store, the final cost was $300 - we've had it a year and it is the only way to go.

mp-ray,

I have not been able to get into our Monty with power and water, but what I have found on our first visit was teas in the recliners, about a half dollar size scrape on the decals, several trim issues inside where the staple gun just didn't fasten it. We found some glue on the ceiling and grease on the carpet in closet and a couple of other areas. We have the model toilet that some have had a problem with. The service manager said that he has had to work on Monty's that have come back for service problems with the toilet. Every thing that I have on my list so far is something that has been addressed by their service department before. I am using the PDI list that you can find on this board.

Chaser,

We probably will do the same thing that we did with our other FVer is buy the topper from Sams and the pillow top matteress cover. The one we have now is as comfy as my really expensive pillow to that I have in my bedroom. But heah thanks for the information, if I can't find the topper at Sams I might need to take a different route.

Ok, back to my original question... What is the "length" of the slide out on the "door" side of the 3400..??? I would like to keep mine open when in storage at home but trying to figure out what modifications I need to make to my RV garage..

mp-ray, it was 37" or 23". Those are the two measurements for sure. Just can't remember which side is which... I think the door or curb side is the 37"?

In length I am referring from front to back so maybe I should have said width. Sorry for the confusion.
