A week of watching Montys

Well I just did a quick trip on Amtrak from Canada to San Diego.
Took a Bus fron San Diego to Yuma and drove my Mom and Dad home in their Van. Dad will be 80 in Aug and had heart problems two weeks ago. They put a fibrulator/pacemaker in him and he was not quite up to driving home.

We went back to Canada going through Quartzite and stopped in Laughlin the first day due to Dad seeing his Dr. in Yuma the day we left.

Then we drove up to Jackpot, Nevada and then out to Portland Oregon and drove home today. I saw about 6 Montanas on the road and they made me glow with ownership pride because they are sure great looking rigs when you are riding in a train, bus , or driving a van.

Dad and Mom are doing great and I enjoyed the experience.

Don and Donna, I am disappointed that when you went through Twin Falls, Idaho that you did not wave at me. If you came into Twin Falls you missed my house by 1 1/2 blocks. We live close to the hospital. What day were you here? One of those Montys may have been mine as we were moving ours in the last two weeks or so. Glad your dad is doing okay and that you all made it home saftely.

Don,
Glad to hear your parents are doing much better. Glad the trip went well, nothing tops off a day on the road like seeing a few Montana's in tow.

We by passed Twin Falls by going on highway 30 and that was on Wed, April 5 around 7:00 in the morn. I did see a Monty near the turn off to Twin Falls. If it was you I am sorry I did not wave.

We spent Tue night in Jackpot and that is a nice place to stay . We stayed at mmmmm??? Barstow 93 or something like that and we got a great room for 22 bucks. The restaurant in that Casino had a Prime Rib dinner special for 5.95 with a salad bar and it was great.

I like that way to go and if we go next year with the Monty, I am going to try and stay at Jackpot again. Take care, Don.

Don, that was not me, however you did pass me on the interstate as I was on my way home from Boise, with the Monty. I had to babysit our granddaughter and since I was in Boise I took the Monty to have its pre-check before leaving on our trip to West Virginia starting Sunday. I do travel highway 30 when going to Boise most of the time. If there is a next time, on your way though we can have a cup or somethng.
