3400, your thought's
We are within a few weeks of ordering a 3400rl. We had put bids out for a 3670RL and were ready to order that model till it went away. The 3400 will meet our needs. We had to rush out bids using Couchescampers msvrp listing and got a few back so far.. with a MSVRP of 58,425.00 , using Couchescampers MSVRP listing which we note is common around the country) most of the acceptable bids were in the 43/44K range but we have two that are under 40K one with dealer prep and frieght included.. That is for the new model with all the latest upgrades. The under 40K quote sounds good to us and we feel we can get a "out the door price) a little lower., Tax, Title, Plates, Etc) What think you of that?????

Rich, according to my abacus $40,000 would be 31.5% off of list. That sounds pretty good to me. Are you satisfied with the dealer(s) that gave you that quote? Good luck with your negotiations.

Rich,
I was at my dealer the other day and was able to see one of the new 3400s. It is a very nice coach. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. I also saw one of the new front panels with the mirror on a 3475. It has a nice clean look. Anyway, hope you get great deal and look forward to pictures.

We are going to the Toledo Rv Show Feb 24,25,26, where we will order the 3400,We need to get a camper back along side our house as no one can find our house any more.I passed it up once myself. Spoke to that dealer today about installing the Mor-Ryde pin box on the 3400 and he said he would do it for 625.00 installed .He also said that they have fabricated a rear hitch for a bike rack that they install on fifth wheels. No price on that yet as he was not sure of it. Tne Excitement is mounting as the order date draws near and we can not say enough about all the help and advise we received on this forum. All of you had a hand in our purchase of the 3400..

I guess a "two-for-one" sale is out of the question??? Of, course I'd pay half of the one... Might even be willing to go full retail. Still cheaper. I emailed Bill at Town & Country tonight, Rich. I dropped your name... I'm assuming that will help me??? Just kidding. I'm sure it will.

If we could get 5 or 6 to order at the show... I'm thinking $30,000???
Actually... if I was a salesman and I had a group of 5 or 6 approach me at a show that wanted to know what I could do if they all ordered from me at the show, I would be finding a pencil sharpener REAL QUICK!!!

Wow! I'm glad I read this, can anyone supply me a number for, or direct me to a dealer where I can purchase a new 2006 3400RL. I'm here in Arizona and to date the best price I have is $47,000.00 BEFORE tax title and license. I'd be most thankful and I don't mind a roadtrip if necessary. We just purchased a new 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty PSD FX4 as our TV of choice. I'll certainly break her in to save $6,000.00 Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin, Rich (richfaa) has done a lot of leg work here in the midwest. Even the dealers here in N. MI are lower than $47K. Do you know how to PM someone? When Rich gets up tomorrow, I'm sure he will help you out. One of your problems, I believe, is your distance from Goshen, IN, where the plant is. Freight is always added to the cost of a unit. I could be wrong, but I think it's charged by the mile. That adds up in a hurry when having units hauled to dealers in AZ.

Thanks for the response, good thing is, I'm originally from Southern Illinois so I'd enjoy a roadtrip to save a bundle of money. This has been an education I can assure you, dealers here, and sales people are, well, lets just say that I'm very happy to have discovered this site.

I agree. This site has been tremendous for me. I shudder to think of what would have happened if I had not come across MOC and just went out and bought a Montana, and learned all of this on my own. I really hate to even think about it.

Dave,
Last I heard frieght was a standard charge no matter if you are 5 miles from Goshen or 3,000 miles. But the location will have an impact on price for sure. When I bought my 04 3400RL I called as far away as South Dakota and down into Salt Lake City area and then back up the west coast. I took all bids and looked them over carefully as I was factory ordering I faxed each dealership the same order sheet and told them to give their best price. I only found 2 dealerships that beat my dealership on price, but when I would have go and get the coach and tow it home I ended up spending more in fuel than savings. The internet has sure taken the leg work out of finding the best price.

You may be right, Dave. I can't remember where I heard that about distance making a difference in freight. Still working on my tv BTW. Need to call Shelly tomorrow. Need to trade in two vehicles somehow.
