Haynes vs. Skagway
We have been in Skagway for over two days now and, at the risk of being presumptive, I would recommend that anyone desiring to see these two quaint Alaskan towns choose to camp in Skagway. There are a lot of nice shops here as well as restaurants, a theatre, and tours. Haynes is much smaller and is a very nice day trip from Skagway. Glen and I took the fast ferry to Haines today for $45.00 each. It was a great ride, only 35 minutes each way. There's not nearly as much to see in Haines whereas Skagway is worth a 3 day visit at least.
We're at Garden City RV Park which has WiFi which works every once in a while.
