Welcome home!

A lot of us old timers had our "fun meter" pegged out in Vietnam. I am a retired Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD)Tech and I keep in touch with my team-mates in the sand box. I know what conditions are like over there.

Well done!

USAF MSGT Retired (EOD)- 23 years
US Army Corps of Engineers Retired (Ordnance & Explosives Safety Spec)- 20 years

Gary, My eldest son was in the first Iraqi debacle, I was a player in the The Viet Nam Era Playtime. My son was with the Marine Aviation Group in Iraq. Berlieve me when I say that without the suppor given by the contactors and civilian advisors in Viet Nam and Iraq both it would have been purely h---. We had good hootches to lay down in most of the time, That airstrips we took of from allover vietnam had to be put in by someone, and it damned sure wasn't Gi's. It was guys running dozers, hammerin and nailin and ducking a lot, just like we were. God Bless you man, and Thank you from 2 genreations of vets. You a truly a part of the brotherhood.

YEEEEEHAAAA, I made it, I'm finally home. Got in last night about 17:00hrs(5:00pm) central and sleeping in my own bed by 20:00hrs(8:00pm).Today is the 8th of April and I picked up the new tv today. Life just does not get any better than this. It has been a great experience being over there helping the troops(my son is a Marine)but I am so happy to be back in the Greatest country in the world. Thank you all for your support and prayers. I am convinced they had a very large part in my getting home safe. I will take some pics of the new tv and the Monty in a few days to post.

God Bless you all
God Bless the troops
God Bless America

Thanks again

Gary
