Favorite Christmas Traditions

Oh my isn't nostalgia great? Sitting here typing the previous post, I got to thinking about the traditions we have developed over the years. Is there anything that you just have to do or it isn't Christmas? Ours is on Christmas Eve, we go to church then come home and watch "A Christmas Carol" with Alastair Sim waiting for the time Santa came to visit. Of course with the kids all gone now, we find we still have to watch "A Christmas Carol" on Christmas Eve or it just isn't Christmas.

When the kids were growing up we had two things; the new angel for that year that the whole family voted on and making pizza from scratch on Christmas Eve. Now pizza is not on the diet and a lot of work to make from scratch. The angel is either given to me by someone or I buy one from someplace we have visited. We have a couple of decorations that are very old that the "kids" always check to make sure are up.
Happy trails.........................

We have a fold up tinfoil "Merry Christmas" banner that has been on our fireplaces for most of 42 years. We bought it for our first Christmas as a married couple and the kids always look for it.

We always went for a pajama ride on Christmas Eve to look at Christmas lights and then opened a present before bed time. Les and I did the same with our kids. That way on the santa watch if they fell asleep they were ready for bed. I sure miss that.
