Holy smokes!...and I thought it was special to see two or three come to our feeders up at the lake in northern Minnesota.
What a sight that must be to see that amount of activity.
I know how those guys are too...they keep coming back at regular intervals and appear to be territorial. You must see some real brawls with the competition over the feeders.
Thank you for sharing that with us - I would love to see something like that.

Charlie, What great photos! We enjoy feeding the humming birds at our summer home in WV and always feel guilty when mid September rolls around and we have to take down the feeders so they can migrate. As Ozzie says, you must see some real confrontations. Ours during the summer seem to be very possessive and there is always one or two who stand guard of "their" feeder. Thanks so much for sharing.

Neat pics Charlie, those little birds have always amazed me. It's also amazing how much sugarwater they can drink when there are several feeding on it. Thanks

Beautiful photos Charlie, thanks for sharing them. They are mighty impressive. I love humming birds. We seem to often have one visit the Montana when we camp. I don't know why??? It's odd.
I would love to spend some time watching them at your house. The numbers you posted are amazing. I feel blessed seeing one once in a while and you have tons there. How cool.

Charlie,
That's where my birds pass through on the way south! We have them at our altitude in CO all summer and we always miss them this time of year when they leave us. Funny how they always find their way back to us. Thanks for taking care of them on the way down and the way back.

WOW!! Fantastic pictures!! I just love watching them. They love feeding on the petunias surrounding the house and seem so tame you can get to within inches of them! So much spunk for being so little. Thanks for sharing!

Thats where them little rascals ran off to. We were feeding some from our patio for a while, but about 3 weeks ago they all dissapeared. They left us up here in Washington and headed South.
They sure are purty.

We have them from early spring to late fall at our house. However the one in the picture came down from Washington to Indio, CA. That's what his name tag said.

Charlie, what great pictures! We had to leave our feeders full when we left for Colorado, with the knowledge that it was about time for our guests to be heading south. Glad to know they will find hospitality along the way.
We had more humming birds this Summer than we have ever had up in North East Texas.

My daughter had a hummingbird nest in one of her bushes. Really, really tiny babies. Great pictures Charlie. We have lots of them here in Hemet also.
Happy trails.......................

You must have a really awesome camera!! I have never seen so many at one time!! I've had maybe 6 at the most at our feeders at one time. They'll be leaving Georgia too pretty soon.
You should put together a calander with those shots!!
