What just happened?

Had a bad hail storm 7/1 that caused major damage to the Montana. Took it to the dealer today to get an estimate for State Farm. Long story short, we are trading it in on a new 3160RL. Did not see this one coming.

If you don't mind I am curious as to what the hail would damage on our units? Windows, AC shrouds etc I could see having issues. I know auto, trucks etc. get the hell beat out of them during severe hail storms. Usually dimples everywhere on the sheet metal and sometimes glass. I hope you enjoy your new 3160 RL as I know we like ours. My wife would have rather had the kitchen on the other side like the 3610 but I did not want the extra 3' length of trailer.

The major expense was replacement of the rubber roof. Dealer explained to me that small tears that are not visible could cause water damage. With the damage to my house and vehicles, I felt he had a point. Also, AC shroud, skylight were destroyed. Had dimples on the aluminum siding under the slides, and replacement of the Montana decal on the front.

Always a danger when you have to take your rig to a dealer. Enjoy your new rig!

Sorry about your problem, but we hope you will love your new unit. We have the 3160 also. Are you ordering the Legacy version?

I see you are just up in Wyoming. Maybe you would like to attend our regional rally in September.

Nix on the Legacy edition. Just about done with the insurance issues. Hoping to pick the Montana up late next week. Can't get it now because the truck is at the body shop due to the hail. Should have it back Monday.
