Funny, Brad! I don't do anything half way, ya know. It's all or nothing. Unfortunately our Montana does not have one of those electric dishwashers, just me! Dishpan hands and all.

We sure don't have a pointy thing. My eyes are so bad that even with my Specs I could not see Sue and Eds pointy thing in that tiny picture.

We have one! We have one! I would never have guessed that it was a "ring thing". I just put a couple of sponges in there, and didn't even notice the pointy thingy.

We couldn't see it in the picture either. I tried saving the picture then opening in another app and zooming in but that just made it too blurry.

Any chance there's a larger picture?

Thanks.

Cathy, thanks for sharing that info...I had never noticed it in the little drawer until I read about it...sounds reasonable...if you don't put them there and forget where you put them..then spend hours looking for your rings..lol

Okay, lets try this picture.

The pointy thing is on the left and the sponge I took out left the dirty spot on the right. I think it is too big for rings.
Steve - what a difference an "S" makes.

Thanks for the BIG picture. I feel so much better now that I've seen 'the pointy thing'.....since I don't have one.

Thanks for the bigger picture! We don't have that pointy thing, either. If it were for rings I would have thought it would be round. Interesting.

Now I can see it Sue and Ed. Thank you for posting the picture. Hey with these old eyes maybe I should go out back to the camper and check to see if we have one. LOL These days you never know.

Oh Sue Rowe, Sue Roe made it to Florida all safe and sound!

I have a stainless steel tray in my drop down manufactured by Rev-a-Shelf it is completly different from yours, and no pointy thing either, why would you take your ring off anyway, it will get lost that way sooner or later

Just checked -- we have TWO pointy things in our flip out tray -- never noticed them before! Never noticed them before -- thanks -- never would have figured out what they were for.

Les and Julie,
We have two drawers and a pointy thing in each drawer. I still don't think they are for rings but no one seems to have a better idea. Maybe someday!

I also have an idea regarding its use. I like to use those dish scrubbers that you fill with dish soap. If you let them lay on the counter with sponge side up, soap leaks out around the sponge. If you prop the sponge head up, it keeps the soap from leaking. I think the the pointy thing is high enough to keep the soap from leaking. I will have to go out to ours to see if that works. I seem to recall that we have one.

If we had a pointy thing I'd use it for my watch and ring when doing dishes. I guess it can be used for whatever you need it for.

When we saw Jeff Renk at the Minneapolis RV show he told me he added them when he saw his wife using the ones in his home for her rings. He thought it was a good idea and started putting them in the Montana. He gives his wife all the credit.

Good morning Parrothead.
That little "pointy" thing is for your rings. To keep them safe as you clean up. It was explained to me when I had a new one installed.

Cathy
Good Morning~

Parrothead, Thanks for the question.
Cathy, Thanks for the answer. We have a pointy thing and am happy to know what its for! Now I can give my ring holder away -- one less thing to deal with
