Fireplace
Does anyone know the price for the fireplace option. The dealer forgot to order it and he is telling me it is an $800 to $1800 price tag that he is picking up

Hmmmm, he's not trying to stick you with the cost since it was his error is he? Out guy threw in a fireplace in order to close the deal so I bet its an inexpensive modification.

Don't remember exactly but $1200 seems to come to mind.

I told the manager that it was their mistake and if he didn't put it in he could give my deposit back as there are other dealer around who would put it in and may give a better price

Ours was a $1000 option back in 2001. We were buying a rig off the lot that had the fireplace already installed and we didn't want a fireplace. The dealer offered to take it out and put cabinet doors in it's place. A few days later, they called and said they couldn't take it out and we'd have to pay for it. We cancelled the deal. They called back and offered the fireplace for free.
Sure glad we have it now. It's great on a "dark and stormy night".

Our dealer charged us $500. It is the Optiflame, standard one on all Montanas. Didn't come with the nice trim, Steve did a great job making it look great. Make sure they put in the nice wood frame that finishes it off.

On our 2006 MSVRP option listing it is `1285.00. We did not get the fireplace but opted for the storage space and a 89.95 convection heater from Home Depot. It does not look as pretty but keeps the camper warm when needed.

The dealer has confirmed that he has ordered our fireplace today and he is picking up the tab. He tried to get us to pay $500 towards it but I said no it was his mistake. He said ok
but things that I figured they would have thrown in won't happen
